Do you add sugar or sweeteners to your smoothies?
No. Our sweetness comes from the fruit. We do not add any sugar or sweeteners like stevia or monkfruit. Just pure fruit.
I noticed clumps. Is that normal?
Yes, we are a minimally processed, no junk added product. Clumps will happen. Make sure to massage the packet and shake the packet vigorously before pouring into water. Fun fact, most clumps are just fruit powders!
How do I really know that’s all that is in there?
We are a food product that has to follow the FDA labeling guidelines unlike some companies out there. If you have questions, reach out.
Is there protein?
Yes, 3 grams. That said, we don’t intend to mix protein powders into it because everyone wants something different! This way, you aren’t stuck with whey, collagen, pea, etc., when you don’t want it.
Does protein powder mix in well?
Yes. Many users report they add collagen, vanilla whey, or other forms of protein and add 3-4 ounces more of water and get great results.
Can I add more water?
Yes. We suggest 8oz as it makes it thick and mimics the texture of a smoothie. However, some users add 10-12oz because they like it to be more of a juice consistency.
Does the product go bad?
Yes, all foods eventually go bad. These products have nearly all of their moisture removed, limiting the ability of microbial growth, but our shelf life is 18 months, although stored in cool, dry place they will easily last 3-5 years. We suggest drinking it quickly, not for shelf life, but because your body will appreciate it!
Do kids really like these?
Yes. They were designed with kids in mind. Kids as young as 11 months old have tried them and loved them. Sure, some kids won’t drink them because of their color; however, in our studies, most kids will drink them if you don't say "oooh look at that color!"
Can I mix with other liquids?
Yes. Coconut water, milks (plant and animal), juice, and yogurt are the most common. We even make them with sparkling waters for a little excitement.
Can I make it ahead of time?
Yes. You can make 24 hours ahead of time and store in the fridge. There may be a little separation, but not much so give it a good shake before drinking. The longer the product sits and the colder it is, the more fruit flavor that will be noticed.
Where do I store the product?
Store in a cool dry place. These are shelf stable for a looooong time. When they are exposed to heat over 90 degrees the sugar from the fruit can heat up and cause clumping. If desired, storing in the freezer is a great alternative!
